Heritage cast stone and precast work

HERITAGE

From replacement balusters to the sympathetic restoration of listed bridges, the Topbond Group has built up an enviable track record for working on heritage projects.

The various divisions within the group can turn their skills to structural issues such as concrete and brick repairs, through to more aesthetic matters such as replacement windows and decorative masonry.
Broadmead can use reconstituted cast stone to match and replace existing stonework with projects ranging from bridges, stately homes and cathedrals.

Our anchoring capabilities have been used on a number of historic buildings, including Lincoln Castle and Tilbury Fort, where they have been able to provide stablisation without compromising the aesthetic appearance of the structures.

Topbond have also worked on a number of listed bridges, including the world famous Ironbridge and Tickford Bridge, the oldest working cast iron bridge in the world.  Carbon fibre technology was used on both these projects to provide an unobtrusive repair solution.  The Tickford Bridge project won an Historic Bridges Award from the Institution of Civil Engineers.
