Footbridge replacement - Essex
This project involved the replacement of a small footbridge spanning a stream in rural Essex. The footbridge was a standard pre-fabricated timber structure.
In order to prepare the foundations, a section of the stream had to be pumped out and diverted using a 600 mm diameter twinwall bypass pipe. Temporary Sheet piling was used and the concrete base and ballast walls were cast.
When the foundations were complete and the sheet piling removed, the footbridge was installed and fencing and signage re-instated.
