BOSTON BARRIER
OVERVIEW
Topbond were appointed to provide a jack-up barge to facilitate the flood defence works on the Boston Barrier, one of the biggest civil engineering projects the town has ever seen. The project was a result of regular disruption to the market town of Boston by tidal flooding. The Environment Agency therefore took the decision to prioritise these works. As a result, the standard of tidal flood defence achieved here is one of the best examples outside London and Topbond are proud to have been a part of that delivery.
THE CHALLENGE
Our client had to deal with extensive sheet piling and excavation within a tidal environment, Topjack was an ideal platform for these works to be carried out on.

Topbond provided Topjack and specialist attendant staff to man the jack-up barge and compliment the site team.
